While grasping the fundamentals of encapsulation is crucial, delving into advanced concepts and patterns elevates code design and maintainability further in C++. In this article, we will explore sophisticated aspects of encapsulation that go beyond the basics and provides you with a deeper understanding of its applications and impact on software development.
Multiple Inheritance in C++ is a powerful yet intricate feature that allows a class to inherit properties and behaviors from more than one base class. In traditional single inheritance, a class can have only one immediate parent, but with multiple inheritance, a derived class can inherit from multiple base classes.
Operator Overloading enables us to make the standard operators, like +, -, * etc, to work with the objects of our own data types or classes. We can write a function which redefines a particular operator so that it performs a specific operation when it is used with the object of a class.
An exception usually signals an error. One of the major features in C++ is exception handling, which is a better way of thinking about and handling errors. Thought it doesn’t always indicate an error, it can also signal some particularly unusual even in your program that deserves special attention. This article also covers try, throw, and catch, the C++ keywords that support exception handling.
Fifteen characters cost nothing; sixteen cost a heap allocation. A measured guide to std::string, string_view, and where the copies come from.
One definition, three functions in the binary. A measured guide to templates, from deduction through concepts and the errors they produce.
C++ classes group data with the functions that operate on it. Learn constructors, access specifiers, RAII and more — every example compiled and tested.
This is a better String Library which is superior to the existing C String library i.e. char string type, or C++’s std::string. It is safer with regard to buffer overflows, simpler than C string manipulation, works ok for ‘\0’ terminated strings and generally faster for common string operations.
To configure the program, edit the file “jsconfig.h”. Since this is a general configuration file, not all settings may apply to this package. If in doubt, use grep or anything else to find out if a specific configuration symbol is used somewhere.
This C++ program is tour of knight on 64 square of chess board. The goal is to place a knight on an empty chess board and then move the knight to each of the remaining 63 squares while only visiting each square once. If on visiting the last square the knight is able to hop to the square on which it first started it is known as a closed tour (and so the knight could resume the exact same sequence of moves to complete another tour) while if the knight is unable to hop to the original square, it is known as an open tour.
This is an enhanced version of Tic-Tac-Toe (TTT) game by adding one more row and column. Actually I have played this newer version of Tic-Tac-Toe (TTT) game on a video game. So, when I learnt C/C++ programming, it was my wish to program this game myself using C/C++.
